VETS played a sin­gle stable­ford com­pe­ti­tion on Tues­day in some­what threat­en­ing con­di­tions with a few play­ers scor­ing bet­ter than par, none bet­ter than over­all win­ner for the day, Chris Fitzsi­mons, with 40 points for his round.

A Di­vi­sion win­ner was Dave Robin­son with 37 points from Col Dennett on 36, with Ray Walker win­ning best nine holes with 20 points. Adrian Martin won B Di­vi­sion also with 37 points on a count­back from Kev Den­ham whose sec­ond nine let him down. Roger Draper won best nine holes with a score of 20 points.

Ray Walker also won the men’s ap­proach on 1&10 (0.28m); Vicki Wyeth the women’s ap­proach on 6&15 (2.02m); and Col Dennett the com­bined ap­proach on 4&13 (0.09m).

Kev Den­ham and Jack Smith led the Chook Run win­ners with 31 nett, from Roger Draper, Joan Kelly, Rusty Us­mar and Ray Walker (32 each) on a spin, with one name­less mem­ber miss­ing out – thank you Mark.

This Tues­day, April 14 is our an­nual Isis Vets’ Open Car­ni­val, with hopes nearly ev­ery Vet is en­tered – nom­i­na­tions close on Thurs­day evening. Shot­gun starts at 7.30am and 12.15pm.
