VETS played a single stableford competition on Tuesday in somewhat threatening conditions with a few players scoring better than par, none better than overall winner for the day, Chris Fitzsimons, with 40 points for his round.
A Division winner was Dave Robinson with 37 points from Col Dennett on 36, with Ray Walker winning best nine holes with 20 points. Adrian Martin won B Division also with 37 points on a countback from Kev Denham whose second nine let him down. Roger Draper won best nine holes with a score of 20 points.
Ray Walker also won the men’s approach on 1&10 (0.28m); Vicki Wyeth the women’s approach on 6&15 (2.02m); and Col Dennett the combined approach on 4&13 (0.09m).
Kev Denham and Jack Smith led the Chook Run winners with 31 nett, from Roger Draper, Joan Kelly, Rusty Usmar and Ray Walker (32 each) on a spin, with one nameless member missing out – thank you Mark.
Nigel Radin (31), Bob Werne (32) Bob Cochrane, Peter Hutton, Keith Rule and Chris Crouch (33).
This Tuesday, April 14 is our annual Isis Vets’ Open Carnival, with hopes nearly every Vet is entered – nominations close on Thursday evening. Shotgun starts at 7.30am and 12.15pm.
