TSKF CHILDERS PERFORMS WELL
TSKF Childers has done the region proud with stand-out performances at the Australasian Championships.
The week-long event was held at the Gold Coast last month with more than 300 competitors from New Zealand, Australia and the Aoyama University Karate Club from Japan.
TSKF Childers chief instructor John Russo said the Childers contingent performed very well.
“Everyone was outstanding,” he said.
“I’m very pleased to say that young Brooke Fitz-Gibbon has been selected for the train-on squad to go to South Africa next year for the World Cup.
“It’s a huge boost, not only for her but the entire club.”
Russo said the next event would be when the club hosts the Wide Bay titles on May 2 and 3 before heading to Rockhampton for the Queensland titles in July.
