THIS year it is set to be the biggest yet, as the event celebrates 20 years. To help mark the occasion, Bundaberg Regional Council is asking for residents and visitors to share memories and memorabilia as part of an historic exhibition. Childers librarian Denise Rapkins has donated photos from her personal collection and has had a resident submit programs from past years and she’s encouraging other residents to do the same. “Bring any memorabilia you have kept over the years in to the library to help us highlight this important milestone. “It doesn’t have to be a photo, it could be anything that celebrates the history of the Childers Festival.” Any memorabilia included in the exhibition will be returned.
