WHAT does the word “Anzac” mean to you?

Of course it literally means Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, but what does the concept of “Anzac” mean to you personally?

For me it represents the foundation of our Federation.

Anzac may have been formed after our Federation, but the things that brought us together – mateship, sacrifice and courage to name but a few – are entrenched in both ours, and Anzac, folklore.

As we mark 100 years since Gallipoli, let us ensure we never forget the trials, tribulations and sacrifices our ancestors have made in the past to build our future.
