Program entices visitors to stay

Isis Town and Country - - News -

A UNIQUE series of workshop conversations aimed at local businesses will be held in Childers next month.

A partnership between Bundaberg North Burnett Tourism, Bundaberg Regional Council, Childers Chamber of Commerce and other local organisations, the aim of “Childers G’Day Enjoy Your Stay” is to capitalise on the untapped strengths of the local business communities.

Bundaberg North Burnett Tourism general manager Rick Matkowski said it will involve direct engagement between businesses and customers.

“This will involve direct engagement with the broader business community who can potentially increase and influence business opportunities by understanding the needs of the drive visitor,” he said.

The G’day Enjoy Your Stay workshop will run in a conversational format so all attendees are engaged and have the opportunity to contribute.

Mr Matkowski said the workshops were specifically designed for the business community in the Childers area to address the needs of the business community, and to achieve tangible benefits.
