A CHILLY start greeted the players last Sunday morning with jackets and vests the order of the day. The chill factor didn’t seem to worry Dominic Mete who managed a very credible 23 wiping out any opposition for first place. The downside, at least for Domonic was that the Handicapper was able to take 4.0 off his handicap and enjoyed every minute of it. Leigh Hart managed to outscore Marg Dennett to take second place with 21 and losing 2.5 and Marg at third losing 1.7. Domonic featured again in the winners with the B-grade Approach going to him with Col Dennett winning the A-grade Nearest the Pin, the A-grade Longest Drive and the Men’s Approach on the 16th. Leigh Hart was also another doubles winner with the win on the B-grade Longest Drive. We wish to welcome Ian and Jennifer McKay to the Social Club ranks and also to say hullo to our visitor for today Sue Blows. It is hoped that all Mothers had a great day on their special day. Next week we will play a Stroke and Putt over the Front Nine and on May 24 we will be travelling to either Bundaberg Golf Course or Oakwood to play the first round of the trophy game against The Lighthouse Social Golf Club. Just waiting for confirmation and will let you know on Sunday. Have a great week and see you on Sunday.
