ISIS Club’s new manager Kerry Smythe is hoping to make the club a key destination for locals and visitors to the region.

Mrs Smythe was recently promoted to the role after working at the club as office manager for 18 months.

“We want to make use of these great facilities,” she said.

“We have started corporate bowls on a Wednesday night and we have invited community groups and local businesses to submit a team.

“We have about six teams at the moment and would love to have more.”

Also in the pipeline, Mrs Smythe said there would be a major poker shootout tournament on Saturday, May 30 and a street machine and hot rod car show in September.

“We want to bring unique things to Childers that wouldn't normally happen here,” she said.

The Isis Club is located at 46 Churchill St.
