Cars, bikes to be admired
IF YOU have a car or bike you love to show off, then enter it into the South Kolan Hotel Car and Bike Show next weekend and revel among some of the baddest wheeled beasts in the region.
This is the third year in a row that South Kolan Hotel has hosted the event and publican Alex Duffy is looking forward to their biggest and best year yet.
“It first started out as a few blokes and some beers but we have worked hard to make it something really special since then,” he said.
Mr Duffy said, for those wishing to enter their car or bike on the day, a $5 entry fee would apply with all funds going to charity.
“We have Cure 4 Cancer event organiser Brett Taylor on board to help us out with raising some much-needed funds for the Queensland Breast and Prostate Cancer Association,” he said.
“All funds will stay in Bundaberg to help local families.”
The event will not only feature some of the best four and two-wheeled machines in the Bundaberg area and beyond, there will also be live music, stalls, lunch, cent sales, raffles and more.
Entrants are asked to arrive at the hotel on Saturday, June 20, from 8–10am with the event to officially open after 10am.
“Throughout the day the cars and bikes will be judged and winners will be announced,” Mr Duffy said.
“It’s a fun day out to check out some great cars and bikes while raising money for a great cause.”
CAR CLUB EVENT: Dave Zunker, Terrie Maher, Jon Vuichoud, Robert Brown, Mary Lou Brown and Brett Taylor are encouraging people to attend the car show at the South Kolan pub on June 20.
