Isis Town and Country - - Sport -

SUNDAY, June 14, 10 players made the trip to Bundy this morning and the weather decided to be very kind and show us some winter sun, a little wind but not enough to worry most. The course was in great condition and the greens very slick. The winner today on countback was, and we will have to find a new nickname for him, Len (I never win anything) Stallard with a great 66 and that lost him 3.0 off his handicap. Second was Terry Smallman also on 66 but only losing 2.6 and third was the front runner this year Scotty White with 69 and losing him 1.1 off his handicap. The winners of the various prize holes were Ed (Mr Magoo) Connell on the 2nd, Ian Mackay on the 4th, Len Stallard, again, on the 14th with Col Dennett taking out the A-grade Longest drive and Hoss Eberl the B-grade Longest Drive. Thanks to Chris Fitzsimons for supplying the steaks and salads for the barbecue after the game and also to doing the cooking and cleaning up. Next week we will play a Mulligans over the Back Nine with one shot free on each hole. If you don’t use it you lose it. Usual time 8am with a $2 brekkie available before the game. Also next week I will have a list showing the points for people who have managed to score this year to see how you are travelling. Saturday, June 20, the Social Club versus Isis Golf Club, 2 person Ambrose, pick your partners, noon for 12.30pm tee off, barbecue after game, $12 for game and meal. Have a great week and see you on Sunday.
