Shed misses point

Isis Town and Country - - Opinion -

I WAS totally appalled to hear of the Bundaberg Regional Council’s decision to allow the Men’s Shed to be erected on land which is occupied by the Isis District High Schools’ agricultural program which supports (and has supported) hundreds of children since its introduction. I am well and truly over the hill and was looking forward to becoming a member of this group, but I cannot understand how not one of our “elected” members or any of the Men’s Shed committee have spoken out about the location of the shed. I understand they (the committee) have refused several locations suggested by the council. A non-profit organisation known Australia-wide becomes fussy on where their shed goes? For the good of the schoolchildren and their parents, I call on the president and committee members to halt construction on this land.
