LARGE fields have become the order of the day with every tee used for the shotgun start to the stroke versus par competition, two new members and two visitors rounding off the field. Mark McAulay routed the opposition in A Division recording a remarkable 7 plus, to win from Ray Walker unlucky to lose with plus 4. Norm Plath won best nine on a countback. Jack Smith played a plus 5 second nine to end with plus 1, winning from new member Phil Pearce on minus 2, with Vicki Wyeth winning best nine with plus 1. The approach shots were won by Mark McAulay (0.41m) for the men on 1&10; Cynthia Draper (1.53m) for the ladies on 6&15; Ray Walker (in the hole) for the combined on 4&13. Mark led the Chook Run winners with nett 29 from Vicki Wyeth (32), Adrian Martin, Ray Walker (33), Michael Stanton, Col Dennett, Barry Steinke and Phil Pearce (34 each.
