LOCAL businesses have taken part in The Pyjama Foundation’s fundraiser, Wear PJs to Work.

The event took place Friday, July 17.

This year the staff at the Childers Post Office took part in the spirit of the day and went to work in pyjamas.

The famous duo, Bananas in Pyjamas B1 and B2, made a special guest appearance at the Commonwealth Bank.

B1 and B2 worked tirelessly for the day serving the bank customers.

Early morning, B1 and B2 were sighted walking on Churchill St, Childers.

Tracy from the Commonwealth Bank said B1 and B2 got a surprise when they were barked and growled at by local dogs.

No injuries were reported to B1 and B2 and they continued to entertain the locals.

The foundation supports kids in foster care.

Since 2004, the foundation has offered learning-based mentoring programs to children in care.

The charity relies on donations and events such as this to raise awareness and much-needed funds.

Childers Post Office staff Jenny, Janet, Shannon and Rachael wore pyjamas to work.
