CHILDERS Magistrates Court was in session on Friday, July 17. The following people pleaded guilty and were fined:
David Single, who pleaded guilty to low-range drink driving after blowing 0.06%, and was fined $400 and disqualified from driving for one month.
Jackson Lovis Sauer, a learner driver, who pleaded guilty to three charges and was ordered to pay fines totalling $1500 and disqualified from driving for six months.
Kimberley Jayne Orchard, who pleaded guilty, and was convicted and fined $500 and had her driver’s licence disqualified for three months. Other matters were adjourned to September 18. Also, charges against Christal Ann Locke were adjourned to Bundaberg Magistrates Court for a hearing on September 14. Warrants have been issued by the court for the arrest of defendants who failed to appear. The Childers Magistrates Court will next sit on Friday, August 14.
