Lighting up the stage in Childers
WORKING Lights opened on Friday night for the start of the Childers Multicultural Festival.
Tracey Jackson attended the show on Saturday night and was delighted with the performances from the cast and crew.
“We saw the show last night at the Cultural Centre. My little boy and I loved it. It was a great story with lots of funny moments, the music was great and we bopped along in our seats to all the songs,” Mrs Jackson said.
“It's fantastic to see something of this calibre being developed and produced in Childers.”
The choreography, costumes, hair and makeup were all very impressive.
“Well done to Tony and Gillyee for bringing this fantastic musical to fruition right here in our little town,” Mrs Jackson said.
Thrilled with the performance and impressed by the production was Trish Costello.
“All should be proud of your achievements, particularly Tony and Gillyee Carey, creators,” Mrs Costello said
The leading lady, Laura Manderson, stole the show with her vocal talents.
“What a wonderful show it was last night and there literally was no better way for me to round off my six months in Childers,” Miss Manderson said.
“The feedback I received really touched me and I haven't felt happiness like that for some time. So thank you for getting me back on track to pursuing my dreams.”
The production will be on show in August at the Bundaberg Civic Centre. For more details contact them on Facebook, Pilotlight Productions.
