Isis District State High School

Isis Town and Country - - Sport -

ISIS High conducted an extremely successful school track and field carnival last Friday at the showgrounds in beautifully pleasant conditions which were the culmination of field events and an afternoon of competition.

The day commenced with a very keenly contested march-past and war cry competition that got all students enthusiastically involved.

It was a close-fought tussle between the Trojan Tribe and Vesta VIPs, with Trojan winning.

The Pindar Police and Badilla Bandits fought their own battle.

At the completion of the carnival, points were tallied and the champion house for 2015 was named as Vesta House, from Pindar, Trojan and Badilla.

Sports co-ordinator Ms Clewes, who did a great job of carnival organisation, named the Age Champions and asked Vesta House captains Coby Gibbs and Cheyenne Slaats to accept the winning trophy. Age Champions were:

Under 12 Jackie Freshwater, Austin Crossland.

Under 13 Hannah Rush, Joshua Maroney.

Under 14 Breanna Simpson, Benjamin Mackay.

Under 15 Jade Golchert, Christopher Gibbs.

Under 16 Simone Manski, Thakdanai Dinmuang.

Under 17 Kandace La Rocca, Coby Gibbs.
