TWO DEAD, ANOTHER SERIOUSLY INJURED
BRUCE HIGHWAY CLAIMS MORE LIVES
A WOMAN was airlifted to Brisbane after being trapped in the wreckage of a semi-trailer on the Bruce Highway north of Gin Gin.
Police are investigating after the truck collided with a car, killing both drivers.
The female passenger had been trapped by her arm in the truck for around four hours, a QAS spokesman said.
The Bruce Highway remained closed with diversions until 2.45am when the highway re-opened to traffic.
Police advised motorists travelling southbound to take Larson Rd at Miriam Vale while northbound traffic was diverted to Monduran Rd near Gin Gin.
Paramedics and emergency services were on the scene near Kalpower Rd, Kolonga.
