School to support Mayor’s Charity Ball
BUNDABERG State High School’s Bundy Brillianté will be on hand to create the ambience for the Mayor’s Charity Ball as guests arrive for pre-dinner drinks in Buss Park.
Mayor Cr Mal Forman said the talented students had been invited to provide background music as guests arrived at the ball.
“We’re thrilled to have these exceptionally talented young musicians join us at the Mayor’s Charity Ball to perform some classical chamber music which I’m certain will create the mood for a relaxed start to the evening,” Cr Forman said.
“I have always seen the Mayor’s Charity Ball as an opportunity to showcase our local entertainers, so I am very pleased to be able to promote this emerging talent.”
The students’ Instrumental Music teacher Christine Buwalda said Bundy Brillianté was made up of Bundaberg State High School’s 22-member string orchestra. “The students work very hard at their music, practising together every Wednesday before school and during their lunch break,” Ms Buwalda said.
“The students don’t often get the opportunity to perform outside of their school community, so they are very excited.”
