Comics, zines in Art Space dis­play

Copier Jam ex­hi­bi­tion shows how it hap­pens

Artists have been work­ing for sev­eral months cre­at­ing this ex­hi­bi­tion

CUR­RENTLY on ex­hibit at Childers Arts Space is the tour­ing ex­hi­bi­tion Copier Jam.

The ex­hi­bi­tion show­cases cur­rent zine and in­de­pen­dent comic cre­ators, col­lec­tives and dis­trib­u­tors from across Aus­tralia.

Publi­ca­tions along­side orig­i­nal art, lay­out pages, work­ings and even a vend­ing ma­chine that dis­trib­utes zines are fea­tured in the ex­hi­bi­tion.

The ex­hi­bi­tion runs un­til Septem­ber 27.

The Childers Vis­ual Arts Group is proud to present its ex­hi­bi­tion, Aus­tralian Icons, at the Gin Gin Court­house Gallery.

The ex­hi­bi­tion con­sists of art­work de­pict­ing the many icons iden­ti­fied with Aus­tralia.

The art­work is in var­i­ous media such as acrylic, pas­tel, mixed media and wool.

There is some art­work which has been com­pleted by in­di­vid­u­als and some are joint ven­tures.

Artists have been work­ing for sev­eral months cre­at­ing work for this ex­hi­bi­tion.

The ex­hi­bi­tion runs un­til Septem­ber 24.

BRAG con­ducts a Wed­nes­day Art Walk on the last Wed­nes­day of ev­ery month. Con­tact Re­becca on 4130 4750, the gallery’s public pro­grams of­fi­cer, for a guided walk.

Childers Glass Art Group has va­can­cies avail­able for new stu­dents in its stained glass and lead light­ing classes.

Classes are run on Sun­days, Mon­days or Wed­nes­days from 9am to noon.
