Childers Open Day
Jodie Dixon We need to ensure the news gets out to the community ... send us your stories and photos
ANOTHER big week has just flown by and here I am again.
I want to firstly congratulate Elise Cottam. Well done Madam President. The team here at Town and Country believe you will inspire young ladies and motivate many, many more. Thank you for all the things you do for Childers, the region and the state. Secondly, well done to the Paragon Theatre, silver at the heritage awards. Amazing! The theatre looks fantastic. Merissa, have you found a use for all those Vegemite jars? It must take a lot of Vegemite to re-build the Paragon? Just joking. Please don’t hate.
This week ahead will be massive; tonight every man and his horse should be at the Hendra Virus session. It’s all the latest news and information about the virus. Local vets encourage the community to attend. It’s all the facts you need regarding protecting the region.
We have some great events happening over the next two weeks, the orchid show, Pre-Prep at the state school, girls’ day out, the grocery grab followed by cooking classes at Brierley Wines. Thank goodness for the Pilates classes starting soon. I will need centring after getting through the events calendar.
This coming weekend Janelle and I will be at the Open Day. The Cultural Centre will host the great event. It will be a great time for you to introduce yourself to our team at Town and Country. We will have suggestion cards available so you can let us know what you would like to see in the paper. Have a great week.
