Custom bikes roll back to town
CUSTOM motorbikes will likely steal the show at Apple Tree Creek Hotel on Saturday when the annual Frogs Hollow Bike Show makes a return.
From wild, custom choppers to everyday street bikes, show organisers expect to have something for all motorbike fans.
Show bikes must be entered by 1pm for judging purposes with trophies for best bike and runner-up in each class.
Gates are open to the public from 10am with a full day of entertainment planned for the shady grounds behind the hotel.
Among the attractions will be Harley Davidson 103 Street Bob which will be raffled off as part of Apple Tree Creek Hotel employee Mick Hayden’s bid to win the Leukaemia Foundation’s Ugly Bartender competition.
With the help of Consolidated Bikers Australia, Mr Hayden will raffle off the bike with proceeds going to the Leukaemia Foundation.
Among the other events planned for the day is a burn-out competition which will take place on the purpose-built pad.
If you like the smell of burning rubber and the sound of hard-working engines this is the place to be.
People will also be able to take part in the charity Bike Bash.
For a gold coin donation, people will be able to take a sledgehammer to a bike. When everyone is finished, the remains will be thrown on the bonfire as part of the night-time fun.
There will also be plenty of trade and market stalls and lots of food vans while hot meals will also be available at the hotel.
Free camping will be available with breakfast on offer at the neighbouring Localiscious Cafe.
