ONLY 13 hardy souls turned out to play on Sunday morning as the rain threatened but luckily stayed away. The course was a bit wet but played okay as out winners proved with great scores for the day. Leigh Hart won the day on countback from Domonic Mete with 31 and managed to lose 3.5 off his handicap whilst Domonic in second lost 3.0 off his for the same score. Domonic played what must be his best game this year but made the mistake of beating the handicapper who played with him, I warned him I would get him one way or the other. Third on 34 points was Michael Stanton losing 0.8. The least Putts was won by Domonic with 12 and the B-grade Men’s Longest Drive by Bob Fraser, the A-grade Longest Drive by Dave Durie. The B-grade Approach on the 10th was won by Hoss Eberl and the Combined Approach on the 15th by Chris Fitzsimons. Next week we host the Craignest Players for the Trophy with a Stroke and Putt over 18 holes teeing off at 8am. There will be a breakfast for all and a meal after the game with Chris promising a treat for that. Please have your cards filled out by 7.45am at the latest and if travelling in a cart staple your cards together, thank you. We have several suggestions for the Away Game in November, one is Innes Park and the other is Hervey Bay with the majority favouring Hervey Bay. Let me know next week where you would like to play and I will book the game and meals. Have a great week and see you on Sunday.
