Nominate for Australia Day
NOMINATIONS for the Australia Day Spirit awards have opened and the region is encouraged to take part.
The Bundaberg Regional Council is calling on the community to nominate a resident deserving of recognition for the 2016 Australia Day Spirit Awards.
Mayor Cr Mal Forman said the prestigious awards were an important community initiative.
“Each and every day across our region there are residents achieving great things and putting the needs of others ahead of their own,” he said.
“These people don’t ask for anything in return for their services to the community so it’s up to friends, family and colleagues to ensure they get the recognition they deserve,” Cr Forman said.
