School fun run success

Isis Town and Country - - Opinion - Jodie Dixon Reporter jodie.dixon@isistcnews.com.au

LAST week in Childers was exciting. We had the orchid show, and the organisers did a marvellous job with the display and the social activities.

On Sunday was the Woodgate Fun Run. Before you ask, no, I didn’t join the fun. I stood back and took the photos. I must say well done to all who entered. The school was pleased with the turnout.

At Woodgate I met four young backpackers from Taiwan. They saw the event online and thought it would be a great idea to enter. The young men said they enjoyed the run, and back home in Taiwan, the schools didn’t do this type of fundraiser. The young men joined the other runners in the park for breakfast and cooled down with a refreshing ice-cream.

If you have a story, birthday or event and would like to share it with the community, feel free to call into Town and Country and let us know.
