THE Australian draught horse will be on show at the heavy horse heritage day on Sunday, October 4 at the Apple Tree Creek Showgrounds. Ploughing up the past with Queensland and Australian champion horses, there will be stud and breeds on display. Join in and have some fun. Plenty of displays and activities for the entire family.
See horse-drawn sulkies, drays and phaetons being used and learn how to harness a horse. You can sit back and enjoy some yarns and bush poetry about the good old days.
Enjoy damper and billy tea cooked fresh on the camp fire in traditional camp ovens and billys, golden syrup dripping from your fingers as you enjoy the special treat.
This is an event not to be missed.
