FOR the past students of Isis District State High School, it has been 50 years in the making.

For the class of 1965, making the trip back to school has been a long time coming.

Old friends had time to catch up and reminisce on the years gone by.

The years have turned into decades but the memories were still fresh.

On Saturday, September 12, the class of ’65 had arranged dinner at the Isis club followed by plenty of laughter, food and drinks.

The school welcomed back all the past students and they had the opportunity to step back into the classroom. Technology might have changed but students remained the same. From pencils to iPads, the once-teenagers are now grandparents and the class of ’65 plans to meet up again next year at a time and date to be arranged.

For the current students about to move on to the next chapter in life, you have the world in your hands, so enjoy.
