Madel running for mayor
I have supported Childers in many ways
A CHILDERS man has become the first to throw his hat into the ring to challenge Bundaberg Mayor Mal Forman in next year’s mayoral election race.
Troy Madle announced his candidature in a Facebook posting.
He said that with an extreme amount of consideration and support, he had decided to prepare a mandate and run for the position of mayor.
“I have a small crew at the moment and would appreciate as much support as I can gather to make this a reality,” he said.
“I am positive I can bring together Bundaberg and its rural regions and unite the harmony required to go forward.”
Mr Madle served on the Isis Shire Council from 1994 to 1997 and has always had a passion to improve the way of life for all.
Mr Madle said he would be releasing his mandate of policies in due course.
“I have supported Childers in many ways over the past three decades, be it sponsorship, firefighting with the Volunteer Rural Fire brigade, QATB, Apex, Lions, Chamber of Commerce, Resident and Ratepayers Association or just trying to help others,” he said.
“Please contact me if you would like to assist.
“d I believe the Bundaberg Regional Council has little or no backbone to contest the issues that affect us all.”
Mr Madle said he would attend meetings and functions as invited to gather residents’ thoughts, and help where he could.
“Please post and share this message if you believe in me to fulfil this role,” he said.
“I do solemnly swear to uphold this position in the most honest and integral and transparent way possible.
“I WILL! Stop ever increasing Rates. I am about People in jobs.
“I will not Contract out our workforce. I will protect our Valuable soil from Fracturing for C.S.G.
“I will reduce the never ending restrictions constantly placed on us as a Community,
“I want to meet with you this is why I have started early.
“I need your help. For more information email: email@example.com.”
