A REDRIDGE man has been granted bail in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court after being charged with several drug related offences.

Hans Michael Hummer, 39, appeared in court yesterday on seven charges including possessing dangerous drugs, drug trafficking and making threats.

In opposing bail, Police Prosecutor Acting Senior Constable Andrew Blunt said a search warrant carried out on the accused’s property allegedly uncovered $15,000 cash buried in the backyard and about 36g of the dangerous drug ice.

In making the decision to grant bail, Mr Simpson said police were opposing bail on the grounds that there was significant intelligence that Hummer was involved with the trafficking of drugs and firearms, but police had offered no particulars.

Hummer was placed on strict conditions including he must report to Childers Police three times a week.
