Unfazed by the ghost stories
SINCE the Down Under Spirit Team report was released last week of the investigation, social media sites had a great interest in the ghostly haunting of the Apple Tree Creek Memorial Hall.
Hall president Chris Cook was delighted to hear all the discussions relating to the hall and its ghostly guests.
“I can’t believe how many people are talking about it,” Mrs Cook said.
Mrs Cook said you either believed or you didn’t.
After reading the report in last week’s Town and Country, many people have come forward requesting a visit from the team.
“It would be great to have the team back again. They are more than welcome,” Mrs Cook said.
Childers may be divided on the issue of ghost sightings but it seems social media polls suggest three out of every four people are believers.
Childers couple John and Rose Wood attended Saturday night’s event at the hall and said they hadn’t had any experiences at the hall yet.
Mr Wood, a firm non-believer, said it was a load of rubbish and anyone could get the history of the hall from the internet.
The couple, unfazed by the social media hype, enjoyed the night out at the social dance.
Mrs Cook giggled and said: “I hope the stories don’t turn people away – we are ghost-friendly.”
Coming soon to the Apple Tree Creek Memorial Hall:
October 24: Apple Blossom Ball.
November 14: Gary and Geoff will again entertain crowds at the hall dance.
November 28: High Noon is due to perform at the hall dance.
