Remember that on Saturday, we are sponsoring the main club’s stableford competition. If possible bring a plate for after the game. October 11: Single Stableford-Back Nine – Today saw 25 players turn up for a Single Stableford game with great weather to greet them. The wind did pick up somewhat but those in the know kept the ball low and the scores reflected that. Winner of the day was Ray Burrows on 22 points and losing 3.5 off his handicap, Bob Fraser pipped Peter Macauley for second on a countback with 21 points and lost 2.1 and Peter of course came in third also with 21 and lost only 1.4. The B Grade Approach was won by Hoss Eberl who also managed the Men’s Approach on the 15th. The A grade Longest Drive was won by Col Dennett and the B Grade Longest Drive by Stuart Aitchison. Paul McCarragher won the Nearest the Pin on the 13th and has the Golden Circle at 3.125m and also took out the Combined Approach on the 16th. Next week we will have a Stroke and Putt game over the Front Nine, tee off at 7.30am and please be at the ground and fill your cards in before 7.15am. There is a sheet to put your names on for the Hervey Bay Away Game on the 25th with limited buggies available so first in first served. If we need extra buggies members may be asked to bring their own to make up the numbers. A separate sheet will be supplied next week for members going to the Away Game to put their meal preferences on so I can order them in advance. Have a great week and see you all on Sunday.
