Massive bargains at the garage sale trail

Isis Town and Country - - News -

WITH 99 sales registered for this year’s Garage Sale Trail the region’s bargain hunters are in for a treat this weekend.

The council’s Waste and Recycling spokesman Cr Vince Habermann said there was a wide variety of items listed for sale right across the region as part of the national event being held on Saturday.

“With so many sales registered there will certainly be something for everyone whether you’re after home wares, clothing, furniture, tools or sport and recreational equipment,” Cr Habermann said.

The Garage Sale Trail will no doubt do its part in ensuring recyclable and reusable items don’t end up in landfill.

In addition to the environmental benefit, Garage Sale Trail statistics project that more than $30,000 will be generated locally as a result of the sales.

Cr Habermann said residents could head to garagesaletrail.com.au and register as a buyer to view the sales being held across the region and create their own ‘treasure trail’.

“By saving the sales that interest you, you can plan your day and create a personal shopping itinerary to navigate, share or print,” he said.

If you have unwanted items to sell there’s still time to register at garagesaletrail.com.au or register for the mega community garage sale Rummage for Relay at bundaberg.qld.gov.au.
