Woodgate Men’s Shed newsletter

Isis Town and Country - - News -

ONCE again the Men’s Shed has had a very busy month. Of course, the most important activity on the calendar was the Cowboys winning the grand final, in a full stadium, in Sydney. Doesn’t get much better. Now back to where I was. The shed has been extremely active with producing and preparing items for sale at the Arts In Spring Market Day on October 5.

A special mention to “Thommo” for his ingenuity in what he can produce from an old rusty shovel, or a tin of nuts and bolts. Well done mate, keep the good work going.

The market day went off very well with the product stall and barbecue stall both making healthy profits.

Along with what sold on the day, orders were taken for some of the items which sold out. (Back to work men.)

Thank you to the members who worked so hard to make this the success it was, with special thanks to Ilma and Gail for their help.

Some good news to finish on. We have been assured that work will commence on Monday, October 26 to erect the awning. Just in time for summer.

That is it for this month, so, see you at the shed.
