Childers pests on notice
CHILDERS has been without pest control service for many years, until now.
A couple from Warwick, Stephen George and Tracy Curtis, moved to Childers three months ago looking for a sea change.
They sold their working cattle farm for a better lifestyle in Childers.
What drew them both to Childers was the climate, the lifestyle and, most of all, the friendly community.
Mr George has been in the pest game for more than 20 years and has owned his business for the past 16 years.
“I believe it’s important to support local business,” he said.
The couple enjoy the outdoors and their true passion is horses.
As often as possible they take their horses to the beach for a run and a swim.
“I had never ridden a horse on the beach until I went to Woodgate,” he said.
Every day Mr George finds a new passion and has a taste for the local produce.
“I have an avocado tree in my yard and the fruit is perfect, not like Warwick,” he said.
Mr George prides himself on his honesty and quality of his work.
“I specialise in termite inspections and treatments,” he said.
With a background in farming, Mr George enjoys the outdoors and is always willing to give a helping hand.
“I want to become more actively involved in the Childers community,” he said.
The community-minded man works tirelessly and can’t remember his last holiday.
He had plans to travel Australia but got side-tracked with work and establishing a new life in Childers.
“If anyone needs a hand with farming equipment, I am willing to help out,” he said.
Childers Pestman prides himself on being professional and providing a prompt service to the community.
Mr George said his licence, insurance and permits are all current and all products are approved by Australian standards.
“If you need any advice don’t hesitate in giving me a call,” he said.
