TWENTY-six players made up the field in what was essentially an overcast day with high humidity but this didn’t stop our winner, Rhonda Zahn, from scoring a very credible 29 but making the handicapper, who had an ordinary day with the clubs, a happier person being able to dock her 5.1 off her handicap, the largest hit this year. Closely following was Ray Burrows with 30 and he managed to make the handicapper smile as well, losing 3.0, and Col Dennett with 31 coming third and losing 1.7. The least putts were shared by Col Dennett, Marg Dennett and Ed Connell all with 14 putts. The B-grade Approach on the 10th was won by Chris Fitzsimons, the A-grade Longest Drive by Hoss Eberl and the B-grade Longest Drive by Leigh Hart. The Combined Nearest the Pin on the 13th was won by Ray Burrows and the Ladies’ Nearest the Pin on the 15th was won by Rhonda. The Men’s Approach on the 15th was won by Terry Smallman and the Combined Approach on the 16th by Diane Charles. The Golden Circle still remains at 0.86m. Next week we will play another stroke and putt game over the front nine, tee off at the usual time of 7.30am. The members farewelled Stuart Aitcheson from the Social Club for about six months as he travels overseas – good luck and safe travelling. The form for the 2016 committee nominations is on the noticeboard, with those who have been nominated printed on it. If you don’t wish to be nominated, please take your name off.
