TWENTY-six play­ers made up the field in what was es­sen­tially an over­cast day with high hu­mid­ity but this didn’t stop our win­ner, Rhonda Zahn, from scor­ing a very cred­i­ble 29 but mak­ing the hand­i­cap­per, who had an or­di­nary day with the clubs, a hap­pier per­son be­ing able to dock her 5.1 off her hand­i­cap, the largest hit this year. Closely fol­low­ing was Ray Bur­rows with 30 and he man­aged to make the hand­i­cap­per smile as well, los­ing 3.0, and Col Den­nett with 31 com­ing third and los­ing 1.7. The least putts were shared by Col Den­nett, Marg Den­nett and Ed Con­nell all with 14 putts. The B-grade Ap­proach on the 10th was won by Chris Fitzsi­mons, the A-grade Longest Drive by Hoss Eberl and the B-grade Longest Drive by Leigh Hart. The Com­bined Near­est the Pin on the 13th was won by Ray Bur­rows and the Ladies’ Near­est the Pin on the 15th was won by Rhonda. The Men’s Ap­proach on the 15th was won by Terry Small­man and the Com­bined Ap­proach on the 16th by Diane Charles. The Golden Cir­cle still re­mains at 0.86m. Next week we will play an­other stroke and putt game over the front nine, tee off at the usual time of 7.30am. The mem­bers farewelled Stu­art Aitch­e­son from the So­cial Club for about six months as he trav­els over­seas – good luck and safe trav­el­ling. The form for the 2016 com­mit­tee nom­i­na­tions is on the noticeboard, with those who have been nom­i­nated printed on it. If you don’t wish to be nom­i­nated, please take your name off.
