Year 12 students graduate

Isis Town and Country - - News -

STUDENTS of Childers have good reason to celebrate as the Year 12s have completed their high school education.

School principal Allan Cook said the students had worked hard and should be proud.

“Last week was exciting for the graduating students,” he said.

In their last week of school and after their final assessment details were done, their minds turned to celebration and congratulation.

The formal senior dinner was held at the Childers Cultural Centre.

“It was a very special night of celebration and jubilation for happy students and proud parents,” Mr Cook said.

Students arrived beautifully dressed in stunning vehicles to be greeted by a large crowd of well-wishers and onlookers.

They were then introduced as graduates and all enjoyed a pleasant dinner.

Bronte Civil presented an insightful Valedictory Speech on behalf of students, and Michael Menchin and Tarni Sadler cut the Graduation Cake provided by the P&C Association.

Last Friday the school community farewelled the Year 12 students with an official Graduation Ceremony attended by family, as well as Year 7 and 11 students.

“Each student was acknowledged with the presentation of their Graduation Certificate, a photograph of the Year 12 group and a gift from the school community,” Mr Cook said.

“Isis High is proud to have seen another group of mature, well-prepared young adults finish their schooling in a sensible and dignified manner.”
