Rush for league tickets

CROWDS formed early at the information centre in Childers on Monday morning in anticipation of rugby league tickets going on sale.

Frustrated locals had to line up as the online website crashed due to many eager fans rushing to get a slice of the 8000 tickets on offer.

One Cowboys fan drove from Hervey Bay to buy tickets as he couldn’t purchase them online.

Childers locals are looking forward to the grand final rematch in February.

Andrew Spink from Gayndah purchased 10 tickets for his family.

“We are divided, five are going for the Cowboys and the others are going for the Broncos,” Mr Spink said.

Speaking to the crowds while waiting, none had ever been to a grand final game and this was their chance to enjoy a game in the region.

Salter Oval will host the game and limited tickets are still available.

From the crowd numbers and taking a poll from the long line, there are more supporters backing the Cowboys for the win.
