Disapprove of approval

Isis Town and Country - - Opinion -

RECENTLY I attended a council meeting where I witnessed Councillors Tony Ricciardi and Mal Forman lead a seven-to-four vote to allow Builder Wayne Thompson build an industrial premises within a Residential A area of Woodgate. Of course all the provisions and rules were bandied about, but in the long run Woodgate’s peaceful existence was second to Ricciardi and Thompson getting their way. Councillor Ricciardi ranted about caring for the people of Woodgate, but right from the outset he was batting for Mr Thompson, and the 21 written submissions against the proposal were disregarded. Beware residents of Woodgate, this will happen again. With Cr Ricciardi representing you, there will be more residential areas converted to industrial, don’t be fooled. I thank the four councillors who voted against this ridiculous proposal, and the way they fought for Woodgate residents. If any of you would like to represent us in the coming election we welcome you, as the majority of Woodgate residents do not have a worthy, caring representative at present.
