CHILDERS Firehouse Potters will share their skills with people interested in learning how to create functional ware and creative work with clay during a six-week introductory course in the new year.

The fun classes will be held each Saturday, starting on January 30 and will include a wide range of potting techniques, hand building, building in moulds, wheel throwing, sculpting in clay and glazing.

Students don’t have to be creative to achieve great results in clay – they just need some basic skills, a goal project and some enthusiasm.

Students work will be fired at the clubhouse and various glazing techniques will be available. Weekly classes will cost $20 per class, and students can purchase clay at the clubhouse.

While designed for adults, older children can attend if accompanied by an adult.

For further inquiries and to book into the course, visit the clubhouse on Mondays or Saturday mornings or ring Wendy on 0478 629 773.
