STAR Wars fans are in for a treat when The Force Awakens opens at Moncrieff Entertainment Centre on Thursday.

Not only will fans get to see the film at a budget admission price but Bundaberg Star Wars enthusiasts group Redback Garrison 501st Legion will gear up in fantastic costumes

Meet Sand Troopers, Royal Guards, Snow Troopers and many more and see the film everyone is talking about for only $8.

Bundaberg Regional Council venue spokeswoman Lynne Forgan said while the movie had been showing for a few weeks, its premiere at the Moncrieff at 6pm on Thursday provided an opportunity to see the movie at a family friendly price or even to return for a second viewing.

“I’m advised that there will be a good representation of uniformed Star Wars characters on hand to delight movie-goers from around 5.15pm,” Cr Forgan said.

Cr Forgan said the attendance of the 501st Legion representatives gave the group, which had a charitable focus, an opportunity for community exposure.
