Have your say Childers

Isis Town and Country - - Opinion - Jodie Dixon Reporter jodie.dixon@isistcnews.com.au

THIS week we have run an article from Mr Bennett regarding the labour hire companies around the region.

I would like to ask the community for your feedback on this matter.

Have you had issues finding work in the region? Do you think backpackers are employers’ first choice? Are locals losing jobs to backpackers?

Let us know at Town and Country your experience working in the region.

Are you an employer who only hires backpackers? Or do you refuse backpackers? We want to know your story and what solution you think will work for both – business and workers.

Last week driving home I came across the Gin Gin police with their radar gun. It was great to learn Gin Gin locals are sticking to the speed limit. Town and Country wants to know, is it the same for Childers?

Churchill St is known for speeding motorists – do you think it’s locals or motorists driving through town speeding?

Let us know your thoughts and experiences on the Childers roads.

Australia Day is fast approaching and it’s time to get your nominations in for the Australia Day Awards.

You can nominate any person you believe has worked tirelessly for the community. You can drop off your nominations to Town and Country, Monday to Friday, 9am-2.30pm.

We want to know how you will be celebrating Australia Day this year. Are you a new Australian? We would like to hear how you will be celebrating the day.

Thank you Childers for all the generous contributions this week.

Jodie Dixon Are you an employer who only hires backpackers?
