New name, same top quality
WHEN it comes to quality and consistency, Slade and Aletha Walters are a young couple who understand the importance of always delivering to their clients.
In an effort to give their clients an advantage, Slade Walters Builders has recently had a name change to Stroud Homes Wide Bay.
Slade said the name change was a reflection of the business becoming a part of a national franchise that gives him greater buying power, national support, as well as better quality service, plans and systems.
“We have also moved our offices to Bundaberg to allow us to encompass the whole of the Wide Bay better and because we wanted a larger amount of customers to be able to reach the office than had previously in Childers,” he said.
“One thing that remains the same though is Aletha and I still live in Childers as we always have and always will and we will continue to service our home town with the same exceptional service as we always have.”
Building is in Slade’s blood, given that as well as being a second-generation builder, he has 18 years in the industry and continues to showcase his skills as a skilled estimator.
While he started as an apprentice carpenter with his father Gary in Childers, Slade also feels he developed an appreciation for a variety of styles while moving around Australia for several years working for major residential and commercial builders.
He is also well supported by Aletha who has a Bachelor in Building Design with a focus on property sales and management.
Stroud Homes has always been known for quality and design, something Slade and Aletha are now able to showcase to the Wide Bay region.
“We have a great range of designs that are Stroud original and are not seen anywhere else in this region; so if clients are looking for a unique design that stands out then we are the builder for you.
“Stroud Homes has a proven track record of success in building and boasts a wide selection of award-winning home designs.
“By joining the Stroud team we are able to keep doing what we love – building locally and dealing directly with our clients – but with the support, structure and quality of Stroud Homes.”
Slade and Aletha welcome everyone to view the new office at 7b Bourbong St, Bundaberg, and be involved in the excitement of their new endeavour.
An open day will be held on January 30 from 11am–2pm with a $10,000 giveaway to any client who builds with Stroud Homes Wide Bay, as well as Pedal and Scoop ice cream, baby animals, face painting and catering by Guzman and Gomez.
