NEXT week our favourite, the single stableford – see you there for the noon hit-off. Sunday, January 24, on a slightly overcast and humid morning we had 20 players show up for a single Stableford on the back nine. The winner for the day on 23 was Sue Long, losing 4.5 from her handicap. Second place went to Terry Smallman with 21 points and he loses 2.7 from his handicap which puts him into A-grade, with third place going to Mark Harper, on a count back, with 20, losing .9 from his handicap. The B-grade approach on the 10th went to Peter Macauley. The combined nearest the pin on the 13th went to Col Dennett. Men’s approach on the 15th went to Mark Harper. The combined longest drive went to Chris Fitzsimons and the centre fairway shot was won by Bill Kirchhof. Just a reminder, if you don’t feel up to walking on the day for whatever reason, let the captain know so we can try to organise a lift in a buggy for you. There were a couple of people who felt a bit of heat exhaustion. Next week we will play single Stableford on the front nine with a 7.30 tee off.
