Council rates notices soon to arrive
THE council’s rate notices for the halfyear period ending June 30, 2016, will be arriving in letterboxes and BPAY View mailboxes this week and will be due by March 10.
Ratepayers who pay in full by the due date will get a 10% discount on general rates, less the council’s pension rebate.
Anyone experiencing difficulty in paying their rates is encouraged to contact the council’s friendly rates team to confidentially discuss payment options.
If you haven’t already registered to receive your rates electronically via BPAY View and would like to do so, you can find details on how to register at www.bundaberg.qld.gov.au by clicking on the ‘Make a payment’ tab on the Quick Links menu.
The council offers numerous payment options, including direct debit, BPAY, internet banking, payment at any Australia Post or BPoint outlet and by phone or mail.
Alternatively, you can pay in person at your nearest council office at 190 Bourbong St, Bundaberg; 169 Hughes Rd, Bargara; 45 Churchill St, Childers; or 4 Dear St, Gin Gin.
If you haven’t received your rate notice by late February, please phone the council on 1300 883 699.
