Artist shows his natural talent

Isis Town and Country - - Kolan News -

THE international award-winning talents of Gin Gin artist Gary Woodfield will be on show to the general public from February 14.

The self-taught artist has developed his unique perspective over the years by painting with natural and man-made materials.

Instead of paint brushes, Mr Woodfield’s tools include sticks and bark found in his own backyard.

Mr Woodfield said he was excited about his exhibition at the Moncrieff Theatre and urged the community to have a look.

“I am showcasing six paintings and over recent years focused on the environment and the impact on the animals,” he said.

“I research all my projects down to the finest detail.

“It’s important to be accurate when painting unfamiliar surroundings.”

His exhibit, A Rugged Realm of Wild Visions, highlights his extraordinary talent of capturing nature and drawing the viewer into the scene.
