Isis Town and Country - - Sport -

THE first rain-free golf day ensured that a good number of vets arrived for the four ball best ball stableford competition. Bill Cowan and Bob Champney made the most of the pleasant conditions and recorded a fine score of 47 points, closely followed by Bill Herring and Craig Reynolds on 46. Third place went to Nigel Radin and Kev Denham. The approach shots were won by: Nigel Radin (in the hole) for the men’s approach on 1&10; Monica Madsen (0.30m) for the ladies’ approach on 6&15; Kev Denham (0.10m) for the combined approach on 4&13. Craig Reynolds led the Chook Run winners with 29 net, from Ted Buckland, Nigel Radin (31), Terry Smallman, Bill Herring and Rae McCliskie (32) on a spin. Next week is the February VIP stroke competition sponsored by Bill Herring and Craig Reynolds – see you there for the noon hit-off.
