With blue sky and white clouds, Sun­day, Fe­bru­ary 14, brought out 20 play­ers to game of stroke and putt on the front nine holes. The first two play­ers came in with an im­pres­sive net score of 31, caus­ing a count back with Dave Durie, be­ing the even­tual win­ner and los­ing 2.7 from his hand­i­cap. Se­cond place went to Marg Den­nett los­ing 2.3 from her hand­i­cap with 3rd place go­ing to Bob Champ­ney los­ing 1.7 from his hand­i­cap hand­i­cap. Least putts went to Dave Durie with 12 putts. Com­bined long­est drive went to Nigel Ison. Cen­ter fair­way shot went to Bill Kirch­hof. A-grade near­est the pin on the 1st went to Marc Harper. Rob Blows won the B grade ap­proach on the first. The com­bined near­est the pin on the 4th went to Bob Champ­ney. The Golden cir­cle re­mains at 2.95m. The com­bined near­est the pin on the 6th also went to Bob Champ­ney. And fi­nally the ap­proach on the 7th was won by Dave Durie. Next week will be Ladies Day with a Stroke and putt on the back nine. Men can take the op­por­tu­nity to put on a skirt and a few women’s ac­ces­sories and find out if they are good enough to hold their own play­ing off the ladies tees. The cap­tain will stand down and the Ladies will set the rules for the morn­ing.
