Bill Her­ring and Craig Reynolds spon­sored the V.I.P. sin­gle stroke com­pe­ti­tion for Fe­bru­ary, with the usual well–at­tended game. Nigel Radin won the Men’s A Divi­sion com­pe­ti­tion with 68 nett from Clin­ton Dowl­ing run­ner–up on 69. Stephen was third with 70 nett on a count­back. Ted Buck­land recorded an­other splen­did score, record­ing 63 nett to win B Divi­sion from Norm Plath on 69, with Paul McCar­ragher third with 70 nett on a count­back. Cyn­thia Draper won the Ladies’ Divi­sion with 69 nett from Joy Cart­ner on 71. Chris White (in the hole) won the Men’s ap­proach on 4&13, while Rae McCliskie (0.34m) won the Ladies’ ap­proach. Ted Buck­land led the Chook Run win­ners with nett 29, from Ray Bur­rowes on 31, with Craig Reynolds, Joy Cart­ner, Cyn­thia Draper, Phil Luck­ett and Norm Plath (32) also re­ceiv­ing a bird.
