They’re all the same

Isis Town and Country - - Opinion -

I’VE been voting since the year I turned 18 and every time the campaigns to be elected or re-elected surface I’m immediately reminded of Groundhog Day. There are very few exceptions when it comes to expectant or re-expectant trough-swillers walking the walk having plagued us for weeks and, far too often, months with talking the talk. The latest offering to the ripped-off ratepayers of the Bundaberg region will turn out no different. When councillors joined the ranks of politicians, the willingness to serve segued to the beginning of a new career in a parallel universe. Two terms maximum for all of them and no fat pensions. Treat it the same as extended paternity leave and give them a medal when they go back where they came from.
