AUTUMN is in the air and the region is looking lush and green for this year’s cane harvest.

Town and Country would like to hear from the local farmers – tell us how the crops are looking this season.

I know avocado season is about to kick off and it would be great to hear from the growers.

Let us know at Town and Country about your home vegie garden – send in your photos.

Is there anyone around the region who can grow huge pumpkins or anything on the larger size? Big potatoes, carrots or fruit – how does your garden grow?

Congratulations to the Isis Club for the big win on Tuesday night in Brisbane. Well done to Kerry and all the staff on a job well done.

By now, you should be aware, I have registered myself for the World’s Greatest Shave and I am looking for sponsors. If you would like the opportunity to shave my head, you need to donate $100 or more.

I know many of you would love the opportunity to cut my hair and I am willing to let some lucky person to do it.

I will be at the Isis RSL for the shave.

I encourage everyone to come out and have a good laugh for a great cause.

I would like to wish Loretta Tarda a very happy birthday for last Sunday. I hope you had a great birthday and a great night at the ATC Hall dance last Saturday night.

It was a huge turnout to the dance and fingers crossed more people attend later this month.

Well done to Chris Cook and her team for putting on great events.
