SUNDAY, February 28, brought 21 players for a stableford on the back nine. Three players, all who have only recently returned playing with the Social Club again, finished with a score of 20 points. The winner for the day on a countback was Rose Cochrane, losing 2.3, with 2nd place taken out by Bob Fraser losing 1.8 and 3rd place going to Allen Ball who loses 1.1 from his handicap. The combined longest drive, which was a nice effort, went to Terry Smallman who also took out the combined approach on the 16th. Not the easiest of challengers. The centre fairway shot went to Len Stallard. The combined nearest the pin on the 13th went to Ed Connell with the Golden Circle remaining at 2.95m currently held by Paul McCarragher. Next Sunday is Monthly Mug day. It will be 18 holes, Stroke and Putt, followed by a light meal after the game. As always Visitors and new members are welcome. Tee off at 7.30 am.
