AS THE hot summer ends and autumn begins trees and plants start to lose their leaves, but not so for the Orchid Society.

They are in full swing for this year’s prized show, to be held at the Isis Cultural Centre on Saturday, March 19 from 8am.

Growers and orchid enthusiasts from around Queensland will pot their plants in Childers for all. Faye Partridge, publicity officer for the Orchid Society said this year is set to be bigger and better.

Once again the RACQ Care Flight Helicopter will benefit from funds raised at the show.

“Orchids, ferns and tropical plants will be on display with raffles,” Mrs Partridge said.

“We will also have refreshments and locally grown plants for sale.”
